Representing Ireland at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient

Representing Ireland at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient

I’m incredibly proud and honoured to share that I was selected from designers across Ireland to represent the country as part of the Best of Irish Design at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient in France — the largest celebration of Celtic culture in Europe.

This opportunity came through the support of the Irish Embassy in France and the Design & Crafts Council Ireland, and I’m deeply grateful to Niall Burgess, Irish Ambassador to France, whose guest I was during the festival. To be chosen following a national selection process makes this opportunity especially meaningful.

The Festival Interceltique de Lorient runs for 10 days at the beginning of August and attracts almost one million visitors to Brittany each year. Being invited to represent Ireland at an event of this scale is both humbling and incredibly exciting.

I exhibited as part of the Irish Pavilion, alongside Tourism Ireland, and in wonderful company. The pavilion celebrates the very best of Irish creativity, culture, and contemporary design, and it was an honour to have my work included among such a strong national representation.

Representing Ireland on an international stage is a significant milestone for me   and for Capulet & Montague. It reflects not only my own journey as a designer, but also the strength, craft, and global appeal of Irish design today.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved for making this opportunity possible ☘️
